About Khuba

Khuba means love in Aramaic.

Our mission is to build that love into practical reconciliation and wellbeing, and facilitate those within the heart of faith communities.
Whilst every community seeks to be a beacon, nearly all are being asked to do more with less. Divided congregations as well as clergy health and wellbeing are of major concern at both local and national levels, with conflict now recognised as one of the most destructive obstacles.

Our expertise lies in supporting you to manage conflict effectively: to bring people together, resolve disputes and strengthen your community's 'wholebeing'.

About Owen Bubbers-Jones, Director of Khuba Reconciliation
Owen is passionate about supporting communities to access the power of reconciliation and mediation.
As well as being an experienced workplace mediator, trainer and conflict-consultant, he grew up in a church community.
As a chorister Owen sang in the choir of Westminster Abbey, and spent his teenage and early adult years as organist and musical director at various churches in the United Reformed, Anglo-Catholic, Evangelical and Central Anglican traditions.
Crucial to his formation was learning to build strong relationships with clergy, church wardens, choirs and parishioners - valuing listening, empathy and collaboration which lie at the heart of community life.

Owen has facilitated many two-party and multi-party disputes, trained more than 150 new mediators and managed the design and implementation of complex mediation systems, processes and policies.

He has worked with a wide variety of central and local government departments, universities, schools, hospitals, charities, F500 businesses and SMEs, and is currently a rostered mediator with the Green Climate Fund, International Alert and Search for Common Ground which all work around the world.
Previously, he rose through the ranks to become the Acting-Managing Director of The TCM Group, one of the UK’s leading conflict-management consultancies.

In addition to adjudicating at national mediation competitions, Owen was named ‘Mediation Champion of the Year’ in 2015 by the Professional Mediators’ Association.
